Tannat grapes 100%, handpicked from the oldest vines on the estate. The grapes were sorted to reject all but the ripest and best, destemmed and crushed. After fermentation and a prolonged maceration, the wine was aged for 12 months in American oak.
Tannat has its origins in Madiran, SW France. It has proved to be ideally suited to the soils and climate of Uruguay and it has become the country’s signature grape variety.
Dark ruby colour with hints of purple; with aroma of plums and wild berries. Rich and full bodied with flavours of stone fruits, long lingering finish with great age potential.
